FITMENT CAVEAT & INSTALLATION NOTE: Because budget dual-sport manufacturers often introduce subtle design variations across different production years and fuel delivery systems (like Carbureted vs. EFI/DLX models), this plate functions as a highly adaptable universal upgrade.

  • Exhaust Clearance: On some Hawk/DLX models, the exhaust pipe may sit slightly lower. You may need to drill out or slot the front mounting holes roughly 1/2-inch higher to ensure the plate sits comfortably away from the hot exhaust.
  • Hardware Sourcing: Depending on the exact thickness of your factory engine tabs, some applications (like the Lifan X-Pect) may benefit from sourcing a slightly longer 4-inch by 5/16-inch Grade 8 engine bolt to accommodate the added thickness of the aluminum plate's front bracket.
